July 22, 201015 yr I have recently been flying a lot in Latin America. I have all the World of Aviation airline packages installed for the region. I have been flying listening to the AI chatter, which correspond to the ai aicraft taxing or flying in my general area. I can see them on the map on a secomg computer running FS Commander 8 on a widefs mode. The problem is that the ATC calls all LAN group aircfraft "Lan Ecuador" regardless if they were from "Lan" (Chile), "Lan Argentina", "Lan Peru" and "Lan Ecuador"I reviewed the Aicraft and the Flightplan txt files and everything is ok. I have checked the aircraft cfg files for every LAN Group aircraft files and all have the correct "atc_airline=" line correctly describing each different one, still Radar Contact still calls them all "Lan Ecuador". An an example: I just saw Lan flight 328, an Airbus 318 CC-CVA from SCEL (Santiago, Chile) to SCFA (Antofagasta Chile)roll right in front of me and lined up. Soon after I heard Radar contact controler clearing "Lan Ecuador 328" for takeoff. Soon after I heard the controller instructing "Lan Ecuador flight 360 to taxi to rwy 17R, i checked an again it was a domestic flight of Lan whithin chile.Interestingly, Lan Ecuador is not in the listing of airlines callsigns used by RC.Where is Radar Contact reading the atc airline names? ThanksJuan G Ducaud
July 23, 201015 yr FSUIPC returns the atc_airline= line from your AI aircraft.cfg. LAN ECUADOR and LAN CHILE are the only wav files I see in the controller folders of that variety.I parked at but did not listen to RC at San Salvador. I used the free Traffic Look utility from Pete Dowson:http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/TrafficLook.zipand saw a LAN CHILE enroute in the vicinity. Some of the LAN group uses ANDES and PATTAGONIA for the airline radio call. ANDES is in RC.I can't answer why LAN Ecuador is being substituted for LAN CHILI.If you wish park at an airport in question, load up a flight plan in RC that contains that departure airport, enable debug, and let it sit until in FSC one of those aircraft in question show up for ground operations (you'll only hear what you are tuned to for that phase of flight). You might get your clearance and then contact and stay on ground to hear taxi operations. Pick a busy time of day for the scheduled departures you want to check. After running a while quit RC and FS. If you want you can search through that LOG file for the lines maybe "TCAS_LOAD_GND". I don't have an rc4.log at the moment. That will show the state of ground AI. That will be the ground TCAS or AI table. You can compare the callsigns there with what is shown as AI Chatter. You should be aware that AI chatter is limited to immediate needs to keep RC's performance up.Debug creates a large file but it shows all of the AI aircraft in the vicinity and how RC controllers respond to them.I assume you are using Interactive AI Chatter and not Prerecorded Chatter. If you want to view the air carriers list with Notepad make a safe copy somewhere other than in its original folder of c4.csv. These are the radio call-signs RC controllers speak. It will be a table of IDs and airlines shown when you set up your flight. Note both the callsigns ANDES and Lan Ecuador are both listed for LAN ECUADOR. LAN CHILI also has multiple signs.
