July 29, 201015 yr I've made the jump from FS9 to FSX and would like to know if any of the popular software in the following list that I used with FS9 is available or even compatible with FSX:AFCADExcbuilderFlight Sim Design StudioSBuilderWorld of AIThanks Very Much, MH
July 29, 201015 yr AFCAD and Excbuilder functions can now be done by Airport Design Editor 9/X (ADE9/X) - a great freeware toolSbuilder has a SBuilderX version so you can use it with FS9 and FSX.I have been using World of AI on FSX for years, it has an FSX option built into the package installer.Hope that helps. July 29, 201015 yr Author Thank you flyhalf. It's a lot of help.I have an additional question. I want AI traffic on my new system so I'm working to install World of AI and am not sure of the system requirements. Maybe you can help me.I have previously been running World of AI successfully on FS9 on a Windows XP SP3 system with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed. I now have FSX running on a Windows 7 Version 6.1 build 7600 system (all updates installed). The WoAIInstaller documentation still tells me I need .NET Framework 2.0 to use the installer. Although I can't find that in my list of installed software, I think my system is way above that level (.NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile is in my list of installed software). This is not familiar territory for me.Since it sounded like I'm in good shape, I ran the installer and think I have successfully installed several airlines. Should I be ok? I don't see any aircraft in my skies, even with airline and GA traffic both set to 50%.MH
