August 17, 200322 yr Hello Everyone, I tried transferring across one of the fs2002 Twin Otter files across to fs2004 (dhc-6_requin.zip). It was featured in Bear's tribute to fs2002 series of articles.I can't for the life of me get any gauges to work on it - just a blank bitmap. Having a look at the panel.cfg file, it seems to use just the default gauges. Does anyone know what to do to get the gauges displayed? Below I've shown the top bit of the panel.cfg file that comes with the plane. I had a warning the first time the plane was loaded saying that some gauges may not work. Subsequent reloads of the plane haven't shown this warning. I've deleted the plane, renamed it and reloaded it and still no luck (no new gauge warning either). Any suggestions?Anthony Dyer-----------------------------------------Note - square bracket can't be shown, so I'm using curly brackets instead.{Window Titles}window00=Tableau de bord principalwindow01=tableau de bord secondairwindow02=GPSwindow03=Manettes des gazwindow04=Commande vituelwindow05=Radio virtuel{VIEWS}view_forward_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,RADIO_STACK_PANEL,ANNUNCIATOR_PANELVIEW_FORWARD_DIR=6.0,0.0,0.0VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.80VIEW_REAR_ZOOM=0.6{Window00}file=principal.bmp size_mm=1024position=7visible=1ident=MAIN_PANELgauge00=cessna!Attitude , 444,534,090,091gauge01=CESSNA!Vertical_Speed , 546,446,077gauge02=Cessna182RG!VOR1 , 443,436,092,089gauge03=CESSNA!Heading_Indicator , 443,635,093,091gauge04=CESSNA!Altimeter , 546,534,092gauge05=Mooney_Bravo!Airspeed , 340,534,091gauge06=CESSNA!ADF , 341,635,091gauge07=CESSNA!Turn_Indicator , 355,447,076gauge08=Cessna172!Clock , 253,540,075,077gauge09=KINGAIR!OMI Lights , 265,630,051,017gauge10=KINGAIR!Torque1 , 718,462,055gauge11=KINGAIR!Torque2 , 784,462,056gauge12=KINGAIR!PropRpm1 , 717,532,055gauge13=KINGAIR!PropRpm2 , 784,532,056gauge14=KINGAIR!Itt1 , 718,602,055,056gauge15=KINGAIR!Itt2 , 784,602,056gauge16=KingAir!Rpm1 , 717,670,055gauge17=KingAir!Rpm2 , 784,671,056gauge18=KingAir!FuelFlow1 , 657,534,051gauge19=KingAir!FuelFlow2 , 850,534,051gauge20=KINGAIR!Oil_PT1 , 657,604,052gauge21=KINGAIR!Oil_PT2 , 850,605,051gauge22=Cessna208B!Left-Fuel-Quantity , 657,673,052gauge23=Cessna208B!Right-Fuel-Quantity , 850,672,052gauge24=KingAir_Radio!Com2 , 940,525,085,080gauge25=KingAir_Radio!Nav1 , 940,606,083gauge26=KingAir_Radio!Adf , 940,690,084,078gauge27=KINGAIR_RADIO!Com1 , 940,444,085,079gauge28=MAGNETIC_COMPASS!Magnetic-Compass , 821,251,070gauge29=KINGAIR!Caution_Annunciator , 688,333,274,36gauge30=KINGAIR!Warning_Annunciator , 962,333,064,035gauge31=MOONEY_BRAVO!OAT , 907,377,057gauge32=MOONEY_BRAVO!Amps , 964,377,057gauge33=LEAR_45.FLAPS , 861,175,019gauge34=Cessna208!Radio-Altimeter , 545,635,092gauge35=SimIcons!ATC Icon , 315,734,027,027gauge36=SimIcons!Map Icon , 285,734,027,027gauge37=SimIcons!Kneeboard Icon , 345,734,027,027gauge38=KINGAIR!GPS Display Toggle , 255,734,027gauge39=KingAir!Throttle Display Toggle , 375,734,027gauge40=KINGAIR!Avionics Display Toggle , 670,470,030
August 17, 200322 yr Are you using the default FS2004 gauges, or the default FS2002 gauges (transferred/copied over to the new sim) ?If the latter, its possible that they're not compatible.Alastair
August 17, 200322 yr I haven't shifted over any fs2002 gauges. The panel.cfg file was originally for fs2002 so I assume that it's looking for default fs2002 gauges that exist in fs2004. Many of the entries in the panel.cfg file also exist in the files for the default fs2004 aircraft. For example in the fs2004 Cessna 172 file we have:gauge03=Cessna!Attitude,246,56In the equivalent fs2002 Cessna 172 file:gauge03=Cessna!Attitude,246,56and in the Twin otter file:gauge00=cessna!Attitude , 444,534,090,091I don't know what the numbers at the end mean or whether the differences in capitalisation & spacing of commas are crucial in fs2004 for it to work now.Any suggestions?Anthony Dyer
August 17, 200322 yr Author Try removing the spaces before the comma in each gauge line, spacing before commas is crucial in fs2004 ?Jackhttp://www.dolphin-star.net/TCA/Paintshop/ybanner_tca_FM.gif Jack Ford
