Difficult to learn to fly FS2004 with rudders

Recommended Posts

I'm now trying to learn to fly FS2004 with rudders enabled. I have CH PRO Rudders USB and I have installed CH Control Manager and tried many different settings for sensitivity and curve. But still it's always very difficult to control the plane with rudders. Especially on the ground the plane easely overreact and is oversensitive. How should it be? Is it normal that the the plane react very strongly on rudder control? After takeof the plane goes to left. Should I use only rudder or both rudder and aileron control? In the sensitivity settings there are two options, simple and advanced. I use advanced and have sensitivity set to all way left for the rudder and the opposite for the brakes. When I return to this menu the simple is always checked in spite of advanced being set when I last left this menu. Is this normal? Does FS remember that I used advanced settings?

If you are using a saved flight to start FS and you didn't set the option to advanced in it then every time you start FS it will use the setting in your saved flight. I have found that any time I make a change of any of my settings I have to resave my startup flight to insure that the changes stick. Try that, it might be your problem. maxsdadhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg

Also, try ading a bit of the "Null Zone" fader into the adjustment. This delays the reaction time of the control surface to your control input - much less sensitive and more realistic for heavy jets and airliners. I have mine set at about 25%, or a quarter of the way over to the right.http://southwest.corpmerchandise.com/image...l/200015138.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD

I don't use any own saved flight but the default Meigs Field and the lessons, and I do notice a difference when I change the settings.

Yes I have now, and according to that document the best solution is FSUIPC so I have just ordered an registration of that product. Solets see what can be done with FSUIPC.
