I recently built a new computer. I had a P3/1000 Geforce2 Mx Windows ME based machine which used the Soundblaster PCI soundcard and I replaced it with an AMD XP2400 Geforce 4 TI4200 WindowsXP machine. I was happy enough with the soundcard so I used the same one in my new machine.The new computer flies the Sim much better -- BUT I have noticed "crackling" or static type noises. I have read that there is some kind of issue involving Creative cards and VIA chipsets.Anybody got any advice?Thanks Barry

Solved my problem by updating the drivers in creative site.Jos

I must admit that I haven't updated the drivers from the Creative site yet -- but please tell me -- did you have a PCI128 card or a 5.1 card. I have found that there are "fixes" available for the 5.1 but not the 128 card.Barry
