New PC, New FSX, RCV4 Installation

Featured Replies

JD, I'm longtime user of your fine program and have built a new PC. I have successfully installedFSX in the Win 7 64 environment and would like to begin using latest version of RCV4 (4.3 ?). RCV4 is installed and properly working on my older Win XP PC with both FS9 and FSX (RCV4.3.3843). With the above considered, what steps would you recommend I take for getting the proper version of RCV4 running with FSX on my new system. If I need to buy something that's perfectly fine.BTW, I have the latest (registered) version of FSUIPC installed on the new PC and have downloaded MakeRwys v4.41 Thank you and best regards,Ken Boardman

Hi Ken,You should just have to reinstall the program and then request a new key to reactivate the software and you should be good to go. Also as you have win 7 I would make sure you install the program as an administrator and always run it as an administrator. This prevents some of the file permission problems that win 7 sometimes throws up. I also never install in the default "program files(x86)" but just into the its own folder , for example c:/ rc4 , as this also negates a lot of the permission and file restriction foibles of win 7. I'm running it on win 7 64 and its working fine for me setup this way.CheersSteve
