August 7, 201015 yr Hi guys,I'm having a problem for a long time with the 747-8 and I didn't find any solution to solve it.When I load a saved flight with engines and avionics ON, FSX hangs and crashes. It doesn't happen with the 744.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
August 8, 201015 yr Surprised no one has replied to this. Have you tried a "repair" or re-installation of the -8?
August 8, 201015 yr Hi David, Stupid question, but did you check the windows event viewer? The event logs might have the culprit even though for FSX it so rarely does.I could only guess to do as Taylor mentioned since it is weird that the problem can't be replicated with -400.Lastly, are you sure you're loading a saved flight that was saved after running the 400/-8 configuration manager? I mean, we know that to fly the -8 we need to 1st load the config tool and set it, but the only thing I could "guess" would be that the crash was brought on due to differences. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
