August 17, 201015 yr I was wondering if any add on scenery, likes FS global 2010 changed the location of the airports at all?
August 17, 201015 yr Well, sometimes this would be better because if you add e. g. the more complex and correct mesh FSGlobal you'll see that the default airports are still where they were before. If they had wrong locations and especially heights, it wasn't much of a problem because the surrounding mesh from the default installation includes the same mistakes and therefor "fits".After changing this game towards a correct mesh, some airports will be looking misplaced but are still at the coordinates that were defined for them by Microsoft.FSGlobal gives you a tool to provide a solution. You can easily change the altitude of the (any) airport. For the more commonly used ones these fixes are already installed.Addon developer's locations usually don't fail in visuals because they are mostly designed with the right elevation data and/or compatibility thoughts towards the common mesh addons. You'll experience a huge gain in visual quality and impression when installing addon mesh, freeware or payware, I can guarantee you.
