September 14, 201015 yr Hi, Ive just got back from Turkey, i flew from Doncaster EGCN to Dalaman LTBS on a Thomson Boeing 737-300 G-THOP . Im not complaining about the aircraft, just the entertainment. There were no T.V screenings and not even a radio thats nearly 5 hours without any entertainment. If i flew from manchester i would of got a 767. So the quiestion is why don't Thomson Airways operate there 757's or 767's from Doncaster no more. They only operate 738's and 733's? Tom,
September 14, 201015 yr Hm. The last time I ever flew on a plane with entertainment was probably atleast 8 years ago... A true aviation ethusiast shouldn't need TVs and radios to keep them entertained on a flight! :( Greg Hetherington
September 14, 201015 yr The answer would seem to be capacity. Both the 757 and 767 offer significantly more seats than the 737. Presumably there isn't enough demand from Doncaster Sheffield to justify aircraft larger than the 737. Gerry Howard
