  1. You'll have to go into the aircraft cfg and change the default viewpoint for the virtual cockpit. I'm not exactly sure what numbers to use but I'm sure someone else here knows or can figure it out.
  2. Are the controls actually working? It might be a calibration problem or something.
  3. This happens to me and this is the problem that can easily be fixed by pressing "q" twice.
  4. Sounds like the default fuel pump sound for FSX. Did you start up FSX with another plane like the Cessna? If so, don't do that.
  5. Some runways, such as those at KTPA, have been renamed due to the magnetic pole moving. The runways at KTPA have been changed from 36 to 1 and 18 to 19.
  6. Something similar happened to me. When I checked the failures page in the CDU it said that CMD A had failed, so I bet this happened to you also.
  7. Actually some airports do have lights similar to what you described. They are called RWSL lights, but I don't think there are any at JFK yet.
  8. NGX

Well lets see... I'm leaving to go on a vacation on Saturday so I'm going to go ahead and guess that it will be released this Sunday!
  9. Well, it looks like we found it before the plane is even released! However, looking at it from the first picture it definitely has wheels on it...
  10. How about KCMH? It has a lot of Southwest 737s. (And its my home airport!)
  11. When was the last time that that was updated? Lets not forget that that this is the same website that said "Coming 2010" all the way until December.
  12. When did they say this? I seem to remember them saying that the dirty cockpit was the only one.
  13. they unlocked the
  14. Okay, well I know someone is going to say it eventually so I might as well now. By $150 being nonsense, does that mean its way too low or way too high? :(
  15. It said not to plan any short-term vacations, and most people I know don't plan vacations just a few days before they leave. This could mean release probably could be any time within the next 3 or 4 months. Of course, I think that we're all looking too far into little comments like this. Hopefully there won't be many problems in beta and we'll see the NGX before the end of the month.
  16. Or you can try out FSRecorder. You can use it to record your flights and then play them back. So if you want you can fly the first flight and record it, and then while your replaying it you can start another flight. Its pretty cool stuff, and its free. Here's the website.
  17. Right, because its completely logical that the airline with no passenger fatalities has a poorly maintained fleet?
  18. haha I wish that that was FSX... But unfortunately if it was it would probably look something more like this:
  19. Sell of that RAM, and you'll have plenty of money to buy a computer! :( Seriously though, I would recommend an Intel processor and Nvidia GPU, but you still should get decent FPS with those specs... Your not trying to run FSX with sliders at full right are you? And by lag badly what do you mean? 20fps, 15fps, 10fps? Depending on the plane, I'd say 15-20 fps is about what you should get with settings up pretty high.
  20. PMDG has already explained that the systems on the -8 are almost the same as on the 747-400. And I'm not sure how you would be able to make an accurate flight model when the plane has only ever been flown once. Although PMDG has hinted at the possiblity of remaking 747 after they finish their current projects, but I assume that it would probably be the 400.
  21. Yeah, I'm not sure if I've ever seen a article about aviation thats not severly screwed up in some way... I wonder if they screw up everything like that and I just don't notice it or if it just happens to be for aviation only.
  22. Come on? Do you really have to do that? Especially on both threads? This just seems so rude to me, and I think that this is a totally valid thread, I don't see any reason why it should be locked. Someone has a problem and is asking a question, isn't that what a support forum is for? And even if this were a stupid thread, what is the purpose of saying "ibtl", do you just want to get your postcount up or something? Anyways, I hope that you can get this issue cleared up with PMDG.
  23. I doubt that you'll find anyone wanting to buy that RAM but you might be able to make a little money by selling the processer - not sure how much - but probably nothing close to the $100 that you need.
  24. Not sure about this, but perhaps you should try the "locked spot" view?
  25. I suspect that these questions actually are a secret code that says something important! Maybe even the release date of the NGX! If we start decoding it now, we might just be done when the NGX comes out!
