  1. I've not been this excited in a while. You can see so many details that tells you this no arcade flight sim.
  2. I think we should get back to the old days and not lock the cockpit. There is zero probability that all passengers may have bad intentions but there is a 100% probability that they will fight the bad guys nowadays. It doesn't matter what weapons they may have it's not possible anymore for 4 or 5 terrorists to fight against more than 100 passengers. I know I wouldn't let them have their way without a fight and so would many others. The simplest of the solutions.
  3. I tried oc and it failed. I think it's because I didn't apply the thermal compound correctly on my CPU or my water cooling system wasn't installed correctly. Even right now at 100% load the computer shutoff. So that's one thing to keep in mind. I haven't yet bothered redoing everything though.
  4. Hello, I'm having about 10 more fps in P3D. But I was only able to test it with Airbus X Extended in P3D. I average 50fps using the default aircraft in complex areas. Other than that I'm having the same fps in average when using FSX in DirectX 10 preview mode. Though I'm wondering that it may also have to do with my Graphics card. I have an i74790k not overclocked yet. Here is my full setup: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Devinci/saved/yXLFf7 Unless you're like me and also play a lot of other games, I think investing almost $2000 just to get 10 more fps wasn't worth it. But I'm happy with the result right now as I get decent FPS in FSX and Amazing results in all new games played at ultra settings. For example I'm getting 120+ fps in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare at Ultra. Regards,
  5. Oh, I see. I may have to do more testing myself. I will also try it with the directX10 fix available on avsim. Thanks
  6. Can you test it in DX10 preview? I was also having FPS issues despite having a $2000 computer but last week I tried using DirectX10 preview and my FPS went up by at least 10 in FSXA. I wonder how well it would do in FSXSE. Thanks for the benchmark, Regards,
  7. Well this is my third time buying FSX. First time was the disc, then I installed it in two broken new laptops and my serial expired. Then bought it on Microsoft Games for Windows Live. And now Steam which is probably the best option to buy games right now.
  8. Well it used to happen every 5mn now I have flown more than 10 hours without any crashes. Though I have issues with windows 8 or FSX disabling my yoke. Thanks bud, I have just purchased PHPX, PMDG 777-3, FS2crew PMDG 777, ASN, FSUIPC just to get back in the game! Yeah, that's limiting the amount of RAM it can use also. I hope LM will bring a 64bit of P3D soon. Regards,
  9. It's looks all good for now. I've found a uiautomationcore.dll that seems to work fine now. I've flown for 3 hours without a CTD so I'd mark this as solved for the time being. Thanks everyone who helped me particularly Jim. Best Regards.
  10. Hi Ben, You are right, even though I have not overclocked, I'm quite happy with the FPS I'm getting right now. I wished demanding sceneries would only affect the VRAM and not the CPU as well that way my 6gb video card would've been more useful with FSX! Regards,
  11. You are right about the throttle/controller settings causing CTDs. I had issues where my yoke was not getting detected by FSX when I'm using the NGX. So I'll get FSUIPC and see if that helps. The crash also happened two times when I was exiting FSX to the main menu. For uiautomatiocre dll I'll just leave it out of the FSX folder as I don't know which version to use. Anyway for the first time in a month FSX did run over an hour without crash! Regards, I'm keeping windows 8 in hope that's going to be the best platform for Prepar3D.
  12. Not giving up, I finally got rid of the stackhash crashes by simply deleting the fsx.cfg, dll.xml and exe.xml. After having installed the PMDG 737NGX the only CTDs I have are caused by: PMDG_737NGX.DLL 1.0.0.0 and uiautomationcore.dll. Note that for the uiautomationcore dll crash, I had it with and without it being present in the FSX folder. Regards,
  13. You are right about that but the thing is I haven't overclocked anything yet and I don't know anything about overclocking. I have everything running at the default settings and it looks like there's an issue with my setup. The only thing I've done so far that's close to overclocking is changing the DRAM voltage as discussed earlier in this thread. Perhaps I need a better power supply or another motherboard? I'll take a closer look at AVSIM CTD Guide to have a better understanding of what's going on. But for now I have to be honest and assume the problem to be with my PC/Setup. But thanks for the help everyone, Best Regards,
  14. I see. But right now I've been testing FSX and other games such as KSP and 90% of the crashes I get are stackhash. So it may have to do with my RAM/Mobo setup. I'm running different voltage settings and frequencies to try to fix the issue but without any luck so far. Regards,
  15. Thanks I'll try what you suggested but others have also said to leave it in its default folder but I have the feeling that it's just as you said. Otherwise I'd really like to have it installed on my SSD. I've set everything to have full control for fsx.exe and the FS folder itself. I'll test out some more to see what the new CTDs diagnostic says. Regards,
