Logitech G15 Keyboard Functions

Featured Replies

Good day to all,I recently purchased Logitechs G15 Gaming Keyboard.http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/devices/3498I was wondering if anyone here has utilized this keyboard or for that matter any keyboard using Macros. For example, I programmed "G" keys that you can see on the left side to help me pull FMC, OHead, COMM with push of a key. I am still learning and was wondering what other functions others have used in PDMG 747-400X to help reduce workload or just make it little easier. I do not know much about Macros but read it can be used to program bunch of tasks and assign it to a key. I was wondering if any one has done something like this and what specifically?Any thoughts on this matter is appreciated? What worked for you, what did not? Thanks,Dave Shah:Thinking:

I have the older version of the G15 that has 18 shortcut keys (x3 modes), and I use G1-G10 as Shift+1/Shift+2/.../Shift+0. I also have several G-keys bound to various webpages depending on the active application (for FlightSim I have www.airnav.com, www.vataware.com, www.flightaware.com, etc. Other than that, I haven't found much that I wanted to bind to the macro keys as most of my flying is done with the mouse clicking things on the panel. In other games I have macros set up to do several things with the push of one button (you can simulate key strokes and mouse clicks too), but in FS I really want to be able to control everything individually.

I don't use my G15's keys in FSX at all but I use them for a lot of other things, even non-gaming related macros - they're great for doing keyboard shortcuts in content creation apps etc.Another awesome thing you can use it for - download the EVGA Precision video card tweaking utility, it can display things like total video memory use, GPU temperature and utilization, fan speed etc on the G15's LCD.

Thank you for your feedback. I have tagged similar Web sites and pretty much assigned G-keys to other short cut keys for thurst reversing, arming the spoilers, extending it.D. Shah
