September 16, 201015 yr Can't figure out how to use the ADDING EXCLUSION RECTANGLE funtion in Instant Scenery2I'm trying to remove some default scenery buildings from an airport ( CYCD ) which display at NORMAL setting in FSX.These are not Autogen objects.I am able to set up the rectangle around the object but I need help saving the changes......from the ManualTo add an exclusion rectangle, point to one of its corners, right-click with the mouse and selectAdd exclusion rectangle from the context menu. After that, move the mouse cursor to theopposite corner, and use the context menu to add the exclusion rectangle to the scenery file.question is....which scenery file ??I created a CYCD.bgl and tried to save it there , restarted FSX and the object are still visible. How can I find the correct scenery file to save the changes ?cheersgreg

Then place you new bgl into a "active" scenery subfolder. The one under Addon scenery could likely be used unless you have a third party scenery entry for CYCD already. In that case, your exclude should probably be in an "active" scenery subfolder which has a higher (lower number) priority than CYCD. That would ensure the "exclude" is being read by the sim last and will exclude the objects in question. If you are only working with the default CYCD, then placing your IS bgls would work if placed in the scenery subfolder of Addon scenery.Eventually however, you will probably want to create a new Scenery entry (possibly named My CYCD) with it's own scenery subfolder and activate it via the scenery library. In that case, your IS bgls would go in it's scenery subfolder instead of the one under Addon scenery.Hope that is not tooooooooooooo confusing.
September 17, 201015 yr Author thanks DavidNo, not confusing at all :( I played around with it some more, and think I have it figured out.I did create a CYCD file, but it had no objects associated with it, when I added an object and figured out where to put the files it worked....finally.cheersGreg
