Lost Add-0n Aircraft Gauges?

Featured Replies

Following an ai_player.dll crash during FSX shutdown {which normally does not cause problems} I found that I could not load the gauges for any add-on aircraft {MD11X, LDS767X etc}. All the default aircraft were ok.After several restores and a FSX repair, I still have the problem. I have found that:1. Even with the correct input into the dll.xml for a particular add-on, the 2D panel is blank and the VC lacks any gauges.2. After uninstalling an add-on {say MD11X} and removing its data from dll.xml; when I reinstall, its data is not rewritten into the dll.xml - as should happen automatically. Before I go for a complete uninstall of FSX, grateful if anyone has any other suggestions. Many thanksJohn R

Did you rebuild your fsx.cfg file? I always save a copy of that after I install anything so if something like this happens, I can just replace it, saves a lot of time.

Jay,Thanks I had done that along with nearly everything else. However a google search finally led me to the Flight 1 XML Manage and Repair tool - this includes a registry repair for exactly the symptoms I was seeing. In 10 secs it was fixed and the problem had gone away. Now I have just to tidy up my system after all the Restores and Repairs that tried.Once again Flight 1 has saved the day!John R
