September 22, 201015 yr hi guys,I know this has probably been asked before but iv looked at all the threads with similar problems and tried everything!Iv had the 737 600/700/800/900 for a while now but have only been using 2 liveries. qantas and pac blue. anyways lately i tried to install more but none of them show up in fs9. Iv looked in the directory and the liveries have been added in the cfg file, correct sequences etc. Each respective folder also has the textures in it but none of them show. I activated the run me after livery thing everytime and i have added liveries manually too. but no luck. iv re installed fs9 and the 737 and no liveries except show except the two that iv had before. i run windows 7 64bit and requirements are not a problem. I run everything as administrator but that has no effect. any help would be appreciated.
September 22, 201015 yr Hello, Please sign you full name to posts in this forum, per forum rules, thanks.I'm not that familiar with FS9 but the biggest problem people have is with checking a check box in the aircraft selection page that says "Show all variations". I'm not sure if FS9 has the same thing or similar.Another possibility is that you may have some conflicting lines in your aircraft.cfg per aircraft. It's been a while buy I wrote a post not too too long ago on what they all meant and which needed to be different. FSX the main one was the title itself, but with FS9 there are actually a couple different lines. I'll see if I can find the post since I don't remember off the top of my head. I wrote it when I had FS9 installed and was creating liveries for it and now my memory is on vacation. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
September 22, 201015 yr Author Thanks Dan,Iv looked up and found another thread on here, quoting a similar problem. The guy had other pmdg add ons but the 737 liveries didn't show up. He said to have fixed that after running some kind of registry fixing programme. Iv emailed him about it and waiting for a reply. I never mess around in the registry but i just want to see if it will work. Any idea what that programme is?\Stan W
September 23, 201015 yr Hi Steve, The registry repair tool that he's talking about can be found here. You don't need to do anything other than run it. No registry knowledge needed. Just run it as administrator via right click menu to be on the safe side. Also, please sign full name (first and last is the actual rule I linked above :()Thanks, i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
September 23, 201015 yr Author Ok so iv tried the registry tool and it didnt help either. iv removed the 737 and installed it again, and the stock liveries show up and another interesting thing is that the 2 liveries that iv had installed ever on the 737 still show up. obviously there are no textures but when i go to select which livery on the 737-800 it comes up with the PMDG one, and 2 uncoloured liveries (qantas and pacific blue). When i removed and re installed the NG shouldn't it have removed the old liveries as well? Maybe there is some kind of problem with that? man im so lost and giving up!Thanks DanStan Wilkinsonps. whos Steve?
September 23, 201015 yr FS9 doesn't have the "show all variants" option that is found in FSX, the liveries are controlled by the aircraft.cfg file found in each type folder and if that is corrupt such as duplicated or missing sequence numbers the whole thing is hosed. Hope this helps. Also, if the aircraft is uninstalled before uninstalling liveries then you end up with registry entries for liveries that don't exist in the aircraft.cfg file. This is a common MSFS glitch, liveries have to be uninstalled before uninstalling the airplane and then after reinstalling the airplane each livery has to be reinstalled. Combersome. Dan Downs KCRP
September 24, 201015 yr Author so how would i go about deleting liveries? do i just delete the entry in the cfg file and then delete the texture?
September 24, 201015 yr No, avoid directly editing cfg's, the best way is to either run the livery installer and select delete or use windows control panel remove software method. Dan Downs KCRP
