September 22, 201015 yr Hey guys,I've recently discovered a lever between the F/O's seat and the centre console. It's stowed under a lid (unlike the ADG handle) and asks to 'pull to relieve the flaps' or something like that. Can anyone tell me what it's for?Cheers! September 22, 201015 yr I am not sure, but I think it might be the alternate gear extension handle, or whatever it is called. I never tried in-flight, but it causes the MLG doors to drop when on the ground. For all those who are wondering which lever he is talking about, it's located under the left armrest of the F/O seat and not visible from the standard FO Seat viewpoint, unless you slide the seat back. The exact words on the lever are:"Preloaded if up. September 23, 201015 yr The alternate extension for the center gear is to the right of the F/O seat. "A life is like a garden. September 23, 201015 yr Commercial Member Okay, apparently it's NOT the alternate gear extension handle, which I found out is to the right of the F/O seat.No idea then. Maybe some kind of hand pump. I haven't found any reference in the manual, yet.Ejection lever for when your Captain's being a pain in the a$$? I'm having a scan of the FCOM hopefully something will turn up.Just scanned the entire MD10 & MD11 FCOM and nothing.. Rob Prest
September 23, 201015 yr Now an ejection seat would be nice! Our posts crossed. I just did a quick flight and tested it. The left lever IS the alternate gear extension handle. The rip cord-like lever on the right is for the center gear. Pushing the left lever down again will raise all gears. I had some fun with the other systems, too. The MD-11 is totally awesome! I've owned the PMDG MD-11 since early last year and I never knew about either of these two systems until a few days ago! I also very recently discovered the 'stabilizer motion' alert which I was under the false pretence PMDG did not include. So, smiles all around :( Regards, Louis Vallance | P3D v4.5 (no shaders) | i9-9900K | 32GB | RTX 2080

September 27, 201015 yr The alternate extension for the center gear is to the right of the F/O seat. There are two gear emergency extension levers (well, one lever and one handle) The one you are talking is the extension lever for the nose and the two wing main gears, and it's on the LEFT of the FO seat on the floor. The handle on the right of the fo seat (covered by a round cover) is for the center gear. When the gear is down and locked the left lever must be stowed or the nose wheel steering will be inop. (well, i don't remember anyway if this is modeled in the pmdg md11)
September 27, 201015 yr Captain, please re-read what I wrote. The fact about the NWS is interesting. I will try it, the next time I fly.Cheers "A life is like a garden.
