September 22, 201015 yr Hi GuysI know I have missed something simple here so would appreciate a quick pointer in the right direction, have been away from the J41 for a while but been tempted back by the FS2 crew voice software so wanted to rerun the tutorial to get comfortable with procedures but am struggling to get an alignment [i think] on the gyros - ie no data appears on the EADI or EHSI although they are powered.Sorry guys - but this is driving me crazy.Roger McNeillEGPF
September 22, 201015 yr The avionics need power from the GPU or the engines to operate. Try setting one of the ADCs to Test Mode and see if it's counting down the time to alignment. It should take around 180 for the gyros to align if I remember correctly. "A life is like a garden. September 22, 201015 yr Hey Roger.Open the test switch panel to the right side of the F/O seat and select either ADC 1 or 2. This will transform the EHSI to resemble an egg-timer sort of clock. This is also described in the Flight Tutorial p. 19. If you are sure you selected GPU ON on the overhead and your ammeter shows 28.0V I am not sure what else could be the problem. Are you using any external program that could interfere with the J41 system logic? Reinstalling software takes only few seconds so You can try it too.
