Resize and move the starting location of ATC window

Featured Replies

I would like to resize (smaller) and move the starting location of the the ATC Window of fsx permanently. Anyone know how to do this?

One way to do it is to resize it and move it where you want (you might have to undock the ATC window in order to resize and move it - I did not) and then save the flight - making it your default flight. The ATC window position is passed on to what ever aircraft you decide to fly - at least it works that way for me in FSX.Hope that makes sense and is helpful.

Thanks, David.  Worked for me!Major V

You can also edit the [Atc_Menu] section in fsx\Flights\other\FLTSIM.FLT , like you can with any other default flight issues

Yes, you "can" edit that file, but I do not recommend making any edits to it as it is the "default" FLT file which FS uses if no other default startup flight has been set.I just feel it is wiser not to touch this file at all.

There must be an editible file someplace that places the oversized 6 x 9 inch box in the center of the screen for ATC. That is the one I am looking for, I think. I was already using the saved file concept but I am hoping for a long term solution. thanks all.Ray
