I've been using FSMeteo since I received FS9 about 1 month ago and have always been able to download.

I fully agree with you here Ken! I'm an FS_Meteo user from day one and with v6.3....NO PROBS. I'm not willing to put money down on something that is still at the "trainer wheels stage" I'll keep FS_Meteo thanks....Marc's the Man!

I want to stay away from debate which one FSM or WrXE is better but would like to point out that Damian - creator of ActiveSky - posted recently on his forum a warning that addresses some people's abnormal expectations of never having the weather server down. You may want to read his post.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg

OK, I also am a long time user of FSmeteo, I bought it when it first came out. I have tested V5.1 V5.2 and V6.3 over the last week and there were some problems with the servers and V6.2 but for the last day and a half none of them work.So are we saying that some people have it working and some of us do not?Because of what I am reading here I have sent Marc an eamil about my problem. Is it just me or just some of us or are the servers having a problem again.Time will tell I guess. I'm just glad I have a bunch of work to get done around the house so I can not #### about not having weather, not that I would.Hey, Vatsim is also having problems with servers!

Exactly.I've used both and like both although I prefer FSMeteo a little better. But the point is that there will be times when servers will be down. In my experience, since I've been using FSMeteo when it first came out, I'll have to say that the servers have been down less than 1% of the time.......Just be patient. Do like I do.......play Medal of Honor or Ghost Recon multiplayer instead. (Or even Grand Theft Auto: Vice City multiplayer). One thing.....I find that very rarely are the servers for both Activesky and FSMeteo down at the same time. So when FSM is down I use Activesky.

I tell you one thing FSMet seems to reproduce weather more accurately than default or ActiveSky v 1.9.I tried 4 locations in the pac nw and found FSMet to be right on the money with respect to current visibility, cloud layers, rain, thunderstorms, etc. For some odd reason, vis was maybe 40-60+ SM at KCLM and KSEA with ActiveSKy and default weather, when the NWS is showing 10 SM. Not FSMet though--10 SM. Seems like FSMet is right on the money. We'll see when v2 AS comes out if it is any better. So far I'm becoming a believer again in FSMet, after leaving for AS with FS2002.Noel

Dave,I agree. FSMETO is down to much and its too bad because its such a good program..Yesterday I took a flight from Athens Greece to Miami and as I launched FsMeteo, I get 'Timeout on Glob.." all the way into Miami. I think it was a 10 hour flight. Every other station around it experienced the same thing. Don't get me wrong, when his thing works, it works well. But it only works 50% of the timeLucky for me I have Activexky too, and this always works for me.Activesky howvere, does not perform as wellHey and you know what, if they both fail, then its Weather center, which I also have...BTW, I have the latest version for all three registered software...Troy
