October 7, 201015 yr Hi Guys.Could you tell me if we still need to keep the Demo flights? I once deleted them and lost VOX ATC altogether.ThanksDennisThe demo flights are just normal saved flights. Deleting only these will not hinder the function of VoxATC.
October 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the reply. However, after deleting the demo flights,I can no longer use the Indexer. Fortunately I deleted them one by one into the trash bin from the X files,so I just restored them back where they came from and all is now well again. The last time, I deleted them from the saved flights, and had to do a complete reinstall of Vox ATC to get it to work again. I have a similar problem with another file. I don't know if you have ever flown out of or into Cologne Germany (EDDK / Aerosoft, but if you give it a try you will find about a hundred planes circling the airport, and at night it is spectacular to say the least, but the frame rate is very low,so I poked around and in:"My name / App Data / Roaming / Internal Workings / Vox ATC / App Data. there is just one file. EDDK. If I take it out, everything is normal at that airport, but with it out I can not use the Indexer. So it is back in again. I spoke to Tegwyn about this some time ago,and at first he did not know what that file was for,but after I told him what happened it turns out it has to be in there, but he said it should not cause the Indexer to stop working if removed, but it does.Nothing really important here, I will just keep the Demo Flights, and if I want to use EDDK,I can take it out just for that flight and then put it back after I am doneIs this something peculiar with my system? I have two hard drives, one with Win 7,and the other with Vista, and it is the same on both.I would love to here any thoughts you might have on all this, but otherwise I am fine. I absolutely love this program, and would not be without it.Thank you for your time, and all the best to you.Dennis Dennis Elliott

October 13, 201015 yr Author Hi.Vox is 5.63. No traffic add on. I just took off from there with Aerosoft German Airports 2 and 3 disabled and it is the same problem. The first clue that something is wrong is the squawk code assigned to me. It is normally in the 3016 to 3020 range for me,but at this airport it is higher.(I have FSX traffic off,and Vox is at 20%) Just now it was 3157,which is about 130 higher than normal. If I am using one of the planes with glass cockpit, the Nav display has so many targets that it is almost white!Am I to understand that you have deleted your demo flights and have no problem? Also, have you tried removing this EDDK file and running the indexer? With either this removed or the demo flights deleted, the indexer will not run at all. I get a message of some sort that this feature is not available or something like that. I should have wrote it down somewhere but I forgot. Thanks for the reply, and I will look forward to hearing your reply to my questions above. All the best.Dennis Dennis Elliott

Are you sure that you have not got some more traffic files on your PC? Traffic files often comes with sceneries. Eg. look in your FSX folder under Scenery/World/Scenery.If you set VoxATC traffic at 0%, do you still have traffic?
October 13, 201015 yr Author HiI just set the traffic in Vox to 0. No traffic at all anywhere including EDDK. And my assigned squawk code there was 3015.20% seems about right for all my airports,it is only EDDK that gets crazy. These demo flights are no problem at all,I just thought I would check in with you about them as I have had them for years now,and never used them, but I will just keep them where they are.Did you try taking EDDK out and running the indexer? I am just curious if it would still work for you.All the best to you.Dennis Dennis Elliott

October 16, 201015 yr Author Yes. I did look and I found no traffic files.Looking forward to your findings at EDDK Try it at night if you can. in clear weather and you should see quite a light show .Also take note of the squawk code. Thanks for doing this for me.All the best.Dennis Dennis Elliott

October 18, 201015 yr Author Michael.I can not find any Traffic anywhere except inside the Aerosoft folder under German Airports 2,which is where EDDK resides. Looking in GA2 folder / scenery, there are 6 eddk traffic bgl files. I don't know if this means anything as I had GA2 disabled the last time I ran this test but i thought i'd mention it to you. Thank you for taking the time to check this out for me,but it does seem to be an isolated issue for me and not a problem for all,so I don't want to take up too much of your time on this. All the best.Dennis Dennis Elliott

Start FSX and let library rebuild.2. Exit FSX.3. Run VoxATC Indexer.4. Try a new flight from EDDK.
October 18, 201015 yr Author Michael.I just did that(I took the files out) went through the other steps and it was just the same. Nothing changed that I could see. I have put the files back in now. Nice try though!Dennis Dennis Elliott
