Hi all, Like those of you who have the new California MegaScenery, I, too, am enjoying it so much that I literally hate to NOT see that level of detail everywhere else. I just got mine on Friday, and have flown it almost exclusively.One Question though: Just exactly how long do you have to wait for your MegaScenery to load? I usually set up with RealWeather, and go to KLAX, KSNA, or KSAN. Believe it or not, the last time for KSAN, it stayed at 50% for about 3.5 minutes before showing me on the runway. What are the rest of you experiencing on "load times" and is there anything we can do to speed it up? Stan

Hi Stan!If you select "extended textures" in the display properties I have had it take 6-8 minutes to load (but boy do those distant hills look great!).This is the only negative I can think of about the program (yes it doesn't do seasons but I don't really care about that).On the other hand-it is smoother, faster, and I can run at 1600 res with about twice the fps and smoothness I get with the default fs textures-and it looks photo real! It really spoils you....!

Mine is set to 100% textures and extended and it does take about 3 min.+ or - to load but, it's sure worth the wait. The only thing that bugs me a little is that it is constanly updating and my HD is always churnin every couple of sec. Smooth though! i only see frame rates come down a little is when i get into the default textures.:-beerchug

Yes, I do have extended textures checked. 3 to 4 minutes has been the longest I've waited. I'm glad though that it seems to be normal. I was worried for a minute or so there. Waiting for MegaScenery New York coming in October.Hi there, Geofa....I keep reading your posts with great interest. Stan

I don't (yet) have this particular product, but I think this is typical of all photo-real scenery. I have the full set of UK-VFR scenery, and loading times for the UK are markedly longer than anywhere else. Worth it though !Alastair
