July 11, 200223 yr Ok while I visit 2 FS sites regularly: not everyone here visits the "other" one while the same goes for folks there. I am also sure people here have other interests so I am curious as to what sorts of sites and other even non-aviation interests are shared by the members of this site. I will share a few among many here now.My former Universities (BA(hons) and MA)http://www.acadiau.ca/http://www.carleton.ca/My current University:http://www.unige.ch/The Institute where I am preparing a PhD, Kofi Annan took a course here once.http://heiwww.unige.ch/My subject is the Cold War and I am interested in the former Communist countrieshttp://www.rferl.org/http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/intrel/coldwar.htmWhen I got into FS a few years ago (in 1999) got the 3rd version of Close Combat: The Russian Front, and am considering a new 3D tactical wargame Combat Missionhttp://www.atomic.com/They apparently got some of their data from this site VERY interesting: (there is an english page)http://www.battlefield.ru/index_r.htmlSee the veterans memoirs really interesting stuff...For those who think the thread get pretty hot here go to this page:http://www.onwar.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgiIn particular the "Current Events" and "Soapbox" are pretty entertaining, I visit them and the WWII and Cold War forums. So where do you guys go?
July 11, 200223 yr I'm one of those that visits the other site on a daily babsis. I mainly observe and hardly post but there are always interesting discussions there.I also visit the forums at 3dcafe.com related to 3D design in 3D Studio Max since that's what I am learning now. Airliners.net forums make for very interesting reading in the evening. I never post becasue you need to pay to post there but a lot of the discussions in the "Non-Aviation" forum are interesting.I also visit x-plane.org since I have X-Plane I like to keep up to date with what's happening there. Also fsplanet.com to see what are the latest and best files and once in a while I download 1 file from there. But mainly, I spend most of my internet time here... do you think I need to get a life outside of the internet?? :-shyMike
