Does the Geforce FX5200 have any problems with FS9?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of purchasing a Geforce FX5200, any noted problems regarding FS9? I have a 1.8GHz Win XP, 512MB RAM 80GB HD Space, will the card work with that? Thanks!

Runs fine with me.It has the 128 Megs of memory, that is helpful for storing the large textures like the VC.Now the limiting part as opposed to its more expensive siblings is the video card's bus speed and clock speed, so I think (???)Allen

our systems are nearly identical.I have NO issues with FS9. I made all the common tweaks you see here and i fly it at 75% of max. I get 20-30 fps, some drops are expected.enjoy it.. I do.joe

i have a 2ghz, 1gb ddr ram, and the 5200.works fine for me i run clouds at mediunm lowand the mesh at 75 all else except autogen and scenery complexityi get like 10-15 on fround, abit worse in 2d panel mode

I have one and have had no problems at all.

I have an AMD Duron 2000+ and up until today I had a FX5200 in my system...Unlike the others mentioned above, I had nothing but problems with the FX5200... - I have just got the Geforce Ti4600 (128MB) and everything is now terrific, I even turned UP the sliders with no noticable hits, whereas with the FX5200 I wouldn't have been able to fly.Just my 5c worth...
