October 13, 201015 yr I had to reinstall due to some corrupt files which were proven very difficult to locate. So what I did was copy the FS9 full directory to a different hard drive, and gave it a different name. Then I uninstalled all add ons and FS9. Then I did a brand new install using the original discs. I went to the regedit/local machine/Software/Microsoft yo see if there was any entrie related to Microsoft FS9 left, and it was not. Afterwards I realized that Windows 7 64 bit is different so, I looked for any files left in : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\9.0 but the only Microsoft Games I found there was Age of Empires. Then I did a brand new install using the original discs. When I started up, I got an error message stating that a specific aircraft was not found. That aircraft was the default aircraft that I had in my previous install. So there is still some configurations left somewhere. I am running windows 7 pro 64 bit. Does anybody knows where I should look?ThanksJuan
October 13, 201015 yr You need to go to My Documents\Flight Simulator Files and delete (or empty) that subdirectory - you might want to save your .log somewhere if you want to keep your hours (you can copy it back in). Then go to users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\FS9 and delete (or empty) that subdirectory. If you can't find any FS entries in the registry that should do it...DJ
October 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks DJ, you are correct. There in the flight sim files inside my documents, and along my ssvef flightplans there was my default flight file, the one with the .FLT extension.Juan
