October 16, 201015 yr To users of FSCommander 8 program - In developing a flight plan, after departure and arrival airports, having selected on the vertical left hand columns an App (Approach) for a specified runway (approach which is outlined and shown on the map) how do I get this approach transferred into the flight plan?Is this possible? Have searched through the extensive .pdf manual and through the forum with no success. Will much appreciate any information on this.Regards,
October 16, 201015 yr There is a button in the procedures window that states. "Add to flightplan" Click it.I believe you are referring to the SID/STAR window while the OP refers to the Arrival/Dep window. The latter is for information only, to show you how to get to/from your first/last waypoint on the fp. This leg is not part of your FP.
October 16, 201015 yr Can anyone please tell me where is the procedures windows, and how do I display it, is it the same as the SID / STAR, as this is the only one I see with the option add to flight plan. What I want to do if it is feasible to add the APP route to the FLT plan. Thanks for any help, I have been looking for this for ages.regards
October 16, 201015 yr Author My apologies for not properly describing my quest, as English is not my native language.I am using FSCommander 8.2 and am not referring to the sub-menus which come under WINDOW (Procedure or User Waypoint).I will try to better describe my problem:As I rest the mouse on the left-most part of the map a column with 22 vertical boxes show up(green if they are ticked on, red if they are off). The last one of these vertical boxes is identified as App (Approach) and as I click on it italternates showing the different approaches available to each of the runways.Once the desired approach is graphically shown on the map I would like to have this approachincluded in the flight plan which is being developed.I am wondering whether this is possible or if it cannot be made part of the flightplan. The alternative then would be to add manually waypoints which would try to replicate thisapproach so smoothly graphically outlined on the map. Thanks for any assistance on this subject.Regards,
October 16, 201015 yr Cgueiros, yes that is exactly what I was trying to find, how to move the approach part of the flight plan.Hope someone will help.Regards
October 16, 201015 yr Author I have always thought that, for my own use, FS without FSNav would leave a lot to be desired. Since it "aint no more available" I have started a long learning curve with FSCommander and begun to really appreciate it. If what we are trying to learn or do is actually feasible it would be an excellent addition.Of course, in my opinion, FSNav was a much better Plan Builder but I am getting the hang of this program. The one missing feature will always be (for experimenting plans) the Move Aircraft to Here! Thanks for the response.Regards.
October 16, 201015 yr I still have FSNav, however it's been used as a moving map, as I am trying to use FScommander as my main flt planning.By reading the above, I think it's not feasible, but I can't confirm.Learning every day. Thanks
