August 6, 200223 yr * warning: software developer joke... * How do you convert a program from Java to C#? Change the file extension.Microsoft have tried to claim all along that C# was not their "Java-killer". However, they'd released enough information at that time about the language that really would be the Java-killer... and when C# first came out, all the documentation was still labeled with that other name.

August 22, 200223 yr BTW, I never did any of this at first. I used only www.microsoft.com and got running somehow. BUT, since I got aware of a major leak in Virtual Machine (ANYONE COULD READ YOUR FILES) I download Java 2 from SUN and disabled VM. That fixed it. I hope everybody else would do the same. This is no joke.To find out if you're safe (and this is the real thing, to prove it, try renaming the file that I mention below and rerun):http://www.xs4all.nl/~jkuperus/msieread.htmBut first put a file called jelmer.txt in the ROOT of your C drive. (This is not one of those tricks where you simply put a link like file:///C/ and say hahaha, I can see everything.)This example assumes you know the filename, though. Always something... But again, please consider disabling VM from Microsoft, at least until (if) they fix this bug.Cheers,Dave :)
