PSS A330 Panel/POSKY Aircraft

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any luck aliasing the great new PSS A330 panel to any of the POSKY A330 aircraft. Seem's to work, but I always get the A340 EWD. I have even copied all the .air and .cfg file's from PSS to the POSKY aircraft, plus sound files and still get just the A340 engine instrument's with only 2 of the 4 engine's running. Never had this problem with the A320 series from PSS. Have they somehow linked the .mdl files to the panel so we have to buy their liveries? Have not tried it in FS2002, but this seem's to be the case in FS9.Steve Park KSDFwww.flyava.orgwww.livewireairlines.com

I think they have something linked in there... the A330 & A340 use the SAME gauge file, and something in their configs tells the panel to display the proper set of instruments.I am currently flying a 3rd parth (Aerodesigns) A340-300 with the PSS A340 panel, but that obviously is no problem - it seems that when the gauge file cannot find it's identifying factor, it defaults to the A340.Good luck on the 330!-Greg

That's what I thought too, so I copied the entire aircraft.cfg and a330.air file from the PSS aircraft to the POSKY aircraft and just edited the top section from the POSKY .cfg file and still get the A340 gauge's. I have also been using the Aerodesigns A340 and that seem's to work ok, just hoping someone find's the "Secret" to using the 330's gauges.Steve

the secret is exactly the same used to ALIAS the pss 320 to PA 320 if I recal. I don't remenber and dindn't try yet with 330, I only bought 340, but it has something to do with renaming "posky" or whatever reference diferent from pss to, well, pss ;) I thing I might have some old PA320 merged with pss somewehere in a cd I'll get back to you If I find something.Jos

>Has anyone had any luck aliasing the great new PSS A330 panel>to any of the POSKY A330 aircraft. NO LUCK then again,i did not buy the a330 package,so that might be the problem :-xxrotflmao

Jose, Outstanding...that did it. I changed to title from Posky Air Canada 333-300 to PSS Air Canada 330-300 and also changed the UI_Manufacturer from Posky to Airbus and voila, 330 panel.Steve

Better print this one out before PSS has it removed - serious threat to their livery business...
