October 19, 201015 yr My Setup: Win 7-64, FSX + Accel Pack, RCV4.03.3845, FSUIPC V4.60aI cannot make the semi transparent text window disappear with key command. When I force it to disappear by clicking on it's upper RH cornerit will disappear, and I am then able to make it reappear by using the assigned keyboard command (very puzzling). Of course it reappearsautomatically if left alone (normal behavior). I have tried much to correct this issue, including Screening the FSX keyboard key assignmentsand FSUIPC (no assignments there) for duplicate assignments. Also tried different aircraft and have tried running only FSX and RCV4 with noFS utilities or other programs running in background. All other RCV4 key commands function normally, and if I reassign the key command Iattempted to use for closing/opening the text window to a different function then this function will work normally.Any idea what could be causing this?Thank you,Ken Boardman Ken Boardman

October 20, 201015 yr Author Hi JD,Thank you for the fast reply.Does FSX handle the RC Key assignments differently than FS9 does? In FS9 I simply used the key(s) I had assigned to "Display Window"in the RC "Keyboard Definitions" (I used "Ctrl+Shift+W" key combo for "Display Window"). All of the other RC key assignments functionnormally (and as they did in FS9). The only problem I'm having (in FSX) is getting the semi transparent Text window to disappearwhen using the "Display Window" key assignment. Also, in FS9 this key assignment acted as a (Display Window) toggle so that when Iused the toggle to make the window vanish it would not reappear until the key(s) were pressed again. >>"also be sure you are using fsuipc's key to turn the window off, and on."<<What is the FSUIPC key assignment for the RC Text Display Window JD? Is this one that must be assigned separately from the one in RC's Keyboard Definitions? Ken Boardman Ken Boardman
October 20, 201015 yr Author I understand now JD. I don't remember ever creating any key presses for the text display window in FSUIPC;But I found the option on one of the tabs, entered a key and it works great > makes the text window disappear/reappear.Thank you for pointing me in the right direction and thanks again for the awesome program.Best regards,Ken Boardman Ken Boardman
