Beech 1900C Landing

Featured Replies

Good Morning all;I recently got the Beech 1900C package and am flying it in FSX. Really like it a lot.One thing I've noticed is that it is relatively difficult to land well! Not saying there is anything wrong with it, but compared to a lot of other aircraft you've really got to manage your entry into ground effect or you'll float halfway down the runway. A little too much speed or descent rate (leading to an aggressive flare) and you could microwave a bag of popcorn by the time it touches down :)Last night I finally got a handle on it - sort of - after several attempts.Anybody else notice this?

I haven't flown the poor thing in a while, so I can't remember, but I know that on the real aircraft if you cut the throttle you can drop pretty quickly.Kyle

Thanks Kyle - that's what I've found with the PMDG model too...so I was going back and forth between screaming in and floating or dropping like a rock, yanking back on the yoke and then floating :) Starting to figure it out though!
