Hello my name is Jon Norton. I recently purchased the js4100 it is a great aircraft. I am haveing a issue with it. Every time i launch it it crashes my fsx. When i first installed it i could go through the start up prosses, then when turning on the aircraft raidos it crashed my fsx. So ire-installed it with no fix. So i decited my pc needed a cleaning. I then did a fresh install of my os and programs. Now every time i Launch th JS4100 it crashes fsx from there. All other aircraft work fine including the PMDG MD-11 i have purchased. I am running vista 64 bit Processor AMD Phenom 8650 Triple-Core Processor, 2300 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 3 Logical Processor(s) Total Physical Memory 4.00 GB Total Virtual Memory 8.21 GB NVIDIA Geforce 9800 GT card. If anyone can help please do. I am all ears.

Hmmm what version of fsx are you running?Did you install as admin?Have you tried reinstalling the c++ redistrabutable?Will fsx load for other ac or just crash outright? Have you installed something else around the time it started happening?

I have done all that and more i did a full re-install of my o/s pc is clean as a whistle. no other programs running during the install all 50 times. can not get it to work at all. i noticed after further resurch on the fourm that one other costermer had a simular issue and deleated there fsx.cfg file. so i did that with no sucess. I'm in a bad way here 44.95 of my hard earned cash down the crapper. Need help please someone.

Jon,I have the same issue, or at least I think they are very similar. My install went fine but as soon as I try to turn on the avionics master switch it closes. I should also state that the only way I can even get it to load is if I go under my documents, the fsx folder, then choose the tutorial. If I try to load it any other way, I get a few clicks then it goes away. This is the second computer I have tried it on. These are my specs: AMD Phenon II X4 820 processor, 2.80 GHZ with 6 GB Ram and an ATI HD 5440. I have done ALL the work arounds I have found online, fresh install, deleted the cfg file, updated redistributed files. Install as administrator. I am at a loss :(Glenn

@Glenn:The way You start your J41 is the best way to do it IMO. I do it exactly the same way just to avoid ALL problems that come with other flight/aircraft loaded into memory, maybe You have already noticed but this way even FSX is able to save and load J41 panel state correctly! @JonJon do You use default flight (trike) to start your J41? If You have loaded any other complex addon aircraft into memory before loading J41 You can expect only problems. This applies to every complex addon aircraft from all developers! Maybe try running it the way that me and Glenn do and see what happens.Cheers.P.S.: Glenn we have a cool rule here, it is good thing to stick to it if You don't want to unleash the fury of mods and get Your posts wiped like in this example The best way is to add Your name to signature in profile options, this way You can easily remove it from all Your post at once if You decide to.

Sawydz, I wish I could say I have success doing it that way. The only thing I get is the plane loaded. I can start the engine but as soon as I try to turn on the avionics switch, I get the BSOD :(

Oh yes now I get it, then I think You should contact PMDG via their Support Desk, sorry but I can't help You. If nothing works I would reinstall OS and FSX, but I see that You have already tried this.

Thanks for all your responses. However, I have tryed launching it via documents, fsx, tutorial. and this time, still no joy.:( I am using the trike as default flight and am using FSX/Acceleration. I have also wiped out my hard drive, Re- installed o/s and FSX. Un-installed JS4100 Re-installed JS4100. No Joy. What is a girl to do? I have tryed it all.:( I do see thought others are having simular issues. Not all but some so, there must be something to it. Are there any PMDG devolepers watching this or just the people who paid for this aircraft and can not use it?

Jon, the best way to get in touch with PMDG is via their Support Desk, just register and send them problem ticket, someone will contact You, this is just forum and everyone is now focused on upcoming NGX. I can only recommend installing latest drivers for all Your hardware if You didn't already.
