Go Flight MCPPRO

Featured Replies

Just curious to know if the 737 ngx will work with the Go Flight MCPPRO airliner autopilot hardware....I post something about a while back....so sorry for repeating ( it was a many months back )It works great with the 737pic so it'll be a shame to lose this functional sim device.

Please sign your full name to your posts in this forum, per forum rules, thanks.I just did a quick search and if you need to find posts and know who the author is, just do an advanced search and check the box for author, enter your name "damocles" and a keyword or multiple using "these quotes".Anywho, just wanted to make it a point to explain that since I know allot of people don't know how to use it and how simple it is.Here is your post and the answer is still the only one available.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/282062-737-ngx-and-go-flight-mcp/page__p__1750241__hl__mcp__fromsearch__1#entry1750241

An SDK from PMDG for the NGX is on the table, with any luck it will become the standard for the 777, 747v2, and future airliners :). The SDK will enable goflight's (and many others) hardware to interface directly with the NGX's systems, allowing a driver to be created by PMDG/Goflight/someone in the community, for use with the MCP. Hope that helps explains things a little better.

It's not a question of "will it work". It is probably better to look at the SDK as a tool for sim hardware manufacturers to make drivers to make both older harder compatible as well as future harware. If some things were coded certain ways then it might work right from the start, but the idea of the SDK should be thought of as I first described. Anything else would be a bonus, but shouldn't be expected. It will be a great thing though for all of us gadget lovers, that I know :)
