Max, The Driver versions do not change a thing; ATI choice was made in hardware and is unchanged even in the "new" XT.The use of the "bulls eye" tool as you refer must be lost on you...in many game titles the use of select AF on close to vertical and horizontal planes does not bear out what you will see in a game such as FS where you bank the aircraft so as view the distant terrain at angles beyond ATI's peak AF will allow as shown in the links provided for you.If you still don't get it you may want to drop out and save your parents or your self some dough and just try your hand at flipping cheeseburgers not that there is anything wrong with that.Take care old friend.NV 5900-Ultra 8xAF:http://firingsquad.gamers.com/media/articl...=1323&pic_id=12ATI 9800P 8xAF:http://firingsquad.gamers.com/media/articl...=1323&pic_id=11

>Paul,>>Thanks for those links. I now can see why you say what you do>about both cards. A picture truly is worth a thousand words.>:)>>I agree though, can you imagine a card that shares the best of>both. Now that would be worth the price of admission.>>BobbyFor sure, I want ATI Full scene AA and NV AF with VIVO all under $400 thank you! :)Give it all one more year! I say that every year.

Every single post you make has to have some snide little comment in it. My parents don't pay for my education. I work full-time to support myself and pay for my education. I don't see how that's relevant to the conversation anyway... I've provided plenty of in-game screenshots, all you seem to be able to provide is rhetoric and personal attacks. Perhaps you are the one who should reexaming their life.-Max Cowgill

Sure Max, sure.You take care.

Well, let's see here, Max. In a previous post you wrote:"This is not opinion or speculation, countless benchmarks and screenshots prove it."And then in your reply to me you wrote:"These comments were absolutely uncalled for and have no relevance to the discussion at hand. No one's opinion is invalid or without credence by definition."So, which is it? Are you delivering facts here... or your opinion? And about lowering your expectations of flight simmers... you do what you want. Many of us here have lowered our expectations of you after some of your recent posts.Regards,

Perhaps you should reread my posts in their entirety. Quite frankly I don't care what my popularity is on some intarweb forum for "leet" simmers. Seriously, "many of us..." what, did you take a poll? You need the reinforcement of a group to validate your opinion? I've been posting in Avsim forums since 1998 and I'm just as opinionated now as I was then. If you haven't realized that yet then perhaps you should just ignore my posts if they upset you that much. I'm not forcing my opinion on anyone. No one is responsible for your decision to read my posts but yourself. I don't use vulgarity nor do I resort to childish name-calling in my posts. There's not much else I can do to keep things civil other than to not post whatsoever. You can tell by my post count that I don't post here often. There have been times in the past where I was one of the most frequently-posting members of these forums but my interest here has waned and I only post now when something really interests me or when I think an issue needs to be brought to attention. In other words, you won't find my posts in very many threads so it shouldn't be too hard for you to avoid reading them altogether if you wish. G-night and G-bless-Max Cowgill

Jeez, Max, don't go away sulking.I did indeed reread your previous posts I referenced before I posted my reply. In one post you stated you were posting facts, and in another you stated you were entitled to your opinion.Fact is... you are entitled to your opinions. And we're entitled to believe they are of little value. That's life. Get used to it. You'll experinece it alot in the coming years.I'll continue to read your posts... whenever I wish to be entertained. In the future, if you want to stoke this "Nvidia vs. ATI" debate perhaps the better place is in the Hardware Forum.

In the future, if you want to stoke this "Nvidia>vs. ATI" debate perhaps the better place is in the Hardware>Forum.Gee Greg, I guess I won't post quotes from the Nvidia CEO anymore then, wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I guess I shouldn't post links to reviews of ATI or Nvidia cards either, I mean, what if one looks better than the other - that wouldn't be fair!!! Nothing about the two statements you mentioned tie them together, other than your mentioning of them. It's called context, Greg. I'm not going anywhere, no matter what you may wish to believe. You don't have to read my posts and I couldn't care less if you do. I don't need a lecture on life from you, nor is it your place to give one. You know next to nothing about me, other than what you read in my posts. I'm going to sleep now, I have a class to attend in the morning, a plane to fly, packages to ship and receive, and several other errands to run. Perhaps if I have some free time I may check the forums but otherwise, I've got more important things to do with my time.-Max Cowgill
