October 5, 200322 yr HiApparently FS Navigator uninstalls automatically but I can't find anything that starts this process. If I decide not to buy after my demo trial, how do I uninstall or am I stuck with it?Thanks in advance!Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
October 5, 200322 yr On my machine, I had an 'uninstall' option under Start/Programs/FSNavigator. If that isn't available to you, merely delete the applicable folders.
October 5, 200322 yr Be sure and give it good try (especially with ILS landings), because it is the one program for FS I could not live without. Then set up a second monitor for it, and welcome yourself to a whole new world of FS enjoyment. It always has been, and still is, my choice of No. 1 Flight Simulator add-on....:-beerchugBob (Lecanto, Fl)
October 5, 200322 yr I agree FS Nav on a second monitor is great. I wouldn't think of "flying" without it. Very FPS friendly. I never use the Garmin GPS that comes with FS9 anymore. The learning curve for FSNav is gentler than for that Garmin GPS whose front panel user interface seems to have been designed years ago. Very awkward. One feature that I would like included on some future version of FSNav would be outlines of Military Operation Areas and Restricted areas and other reporting zones, but otherwise it's very complete. So don't give up on FSNav yet!Larry JonesFlorence, MT
October 5, 200322 yr A couple mega bytes of tutorials are available on the FSNavigator website http://www.fsnavigator.com/download/fsn-t1.zipis the first. FYILarry
October 5, 200322 yr Author Thanks for those comments. On the version I downloaded there is no uninstal via the start, programs, fsnavigator route. What would be the appropriate files to uninstal?Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
October 5, 200322 yr Try the "add/remove programs" route.......You should see FSNavigator listed there...
October 5, 200322 yr If after looking in the Control Panel/Add/Remove area and you still dont see an uninstall option, you could try re-downloading the file from the website, install the software again which will hopefully give you the uninstall option. But as already echoed many times above this post, take a little time to see what is really on offer. It is without doubt one of the all time greats with regards to add-ons for MSFS.RgdsAidihttp://www.vfr-flightcenter.com/avsim_sig.jpg
October 6, 200322 yr I agree with everyone else. I couldn't wait for the update for FS9. To me it is a MUST HAVE!!!!maxsdadhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
