Hi,Just found this great little utility in the library,It's a great little flight generator, makes random flights around the caribbean, almost a career mode?.Still it is a great little independent program, and I think it certainly deserves more than 49 downloadshttp://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...=Root&Go=SearchTry it out, its only 250k.Dan.

Hi :)I've just downloaded it ... thanks for the link :D .... I'll try it later!

Sounds Great Danny! And thanks. :-coolI just downloaded it too and will be giving a try here shorty. One reason it may not have that many downloads yet it that it was just recently uploaded to the librrary and isn't listed yet on Avsim's main page. Once it's listed there as a newly available download perhaps it will recieve more hits. ;)Cheerio,Jim

D'oh :-doh , I thought it said 3rd Oct, silly me , someone gave me a link and I miss read the date :-dohDan

its in the Getright queue will get it tomorrow :)

Thanks for the tip, a nice little utility. I guess I'm not very imaginative as I need these kinds of "motivators" to get me flying, ha ha :-hah

Hi Jet1,I'm like you. I need a random generator to send me on missions and give me a sense of purpose. (-: Hehe. There is a pretty long thread on fourms.simflight.com about MSFS needing a career mode. This program is pretty rudimentary in that respect, but I am going to go over there and let them know about this. I used it and it kind of fits the bill. The biggest downside I see right now is it's only for a small section of the world, the Caribbean Islands. But it's version number is only 0.1 and it looks like the author plans to continue developing it and improve upon it. The good part is it's free. :-coolJim

Hi Jim, You are absolutely right. The route needs to be familiar to me, for example if I've flown it IRL or then I something like this utility. I'll have to check that thread at simflight. But ok, enrolling to a virtual airline could be considered a kind of a "career mode", the best possible actually..

Jon flies for our VA (Solent), he did that little program up to generate charter routes for our expanding Caribbean charter service. Neat, isn't it?I never understood the whole VA thing until I joined one, but now I see that it really is a great way to make messing with FS seem more "meaningful", if that makes any sense. Then again, making sense is not something we do well at Solent... :+Lewis "Moose" GregoryColumbia, South CarolinaSolent 644http://www.solentairvirtual.co.uk/images/solentbanner.jpg

Howdy,Sssssssssssssush! Don't want to alert everyone to it's existance, now, do we? :-lolIt really is a great little programme, and worthy of much more exposure. Been using it for my own "one-man" Caribbean-based VA, and gotta say ... it's a winner! (Although my virtual "bank manager" had kiniptions when I told him I was relocating from St. Thomas to Nassau, especially as this required the construction of a new hanger).

Well, it still needs a LOT of work but looking at the upcoming features list I think it's on the right track. While most of the variables can be easily imported into FS (WX, flightplans, freight weight, passengers, etc.) there are some missions that currently require a lot of imagination. :( This looks like a welcome diversion from my usual point-to-point flying (Been doing that since FS5.1.)

Too limited for my taste, and like someone already said it is still in the rudimentary stage.Could be of great use if its coverage of the Caribbean is bigger lncluding for instace Central America , etc.Looks promissing for the future,,Edmundo
