Ai lights?

Featured Replies

Hello, kind of a weird questions here:Is there any way to make AI planes always have their NAV lights on? I just think it looks very unrealistic (at least at night) to have them on. I might be alone in thinking this, but I want to know if anyone has any ideas to have them always have their NAV/cabin lights on.Thanks!

Please clarify - I believe that Nav lights normally refer to the lights on the wing tips.Is that what you mean or are you referring to the lack of lighting in the interior passenger cabin (the windows) of AI aircraft?

Both. In fs2004, AI aircraft will usually turn on their AI and cabin lights about 10 minutes prior to leaving the gate and leave them on 10 minutes after arriving (only my own estimates). They turn on the NAV (wing tip) and cabin (window) lights at the same time. I want to know if it is possible to have the AI planes always have these lights on?The reason being : I find it very unrealistic to arrive at a "ghost" airport at night where every plane is totally dark. Thanks for your help! (I should add i am using World-of-ai)

Hi,Yes it is possible, but it has to be built into the plane itself (MDL file). I know how to do it in FSDS2 but not in GMAX or FSDS3.

Is there any way to do this with the aircraft.cfg file? Also any advice you can give me on seeking a solution for this?

As has already been stated a couple of times - this is a function of the model - not the cfg file.
