Featured Replies

Sorry...FX5200 Asylum by BFG. 128Meg.Yep, entry level, but alas. It does the trick.

I've got a very good system, P43.06, 1 gig ram and the like, but my Ti4600 has been laboring with stutters and poor FR's for weeks using 4X.XX series NVIDIA drivers especially with dense cloud layers, but also without!........but these 52.13's from Guru cured it ALL!! ZOWWIEEEE!! .. add my Two Thumbs Up for the 52.13s !!!! Randy Jura, KPDX

Hii ,I hv never used unofficial Beta drivers from any source..I hv FX5600 Ultra 128 Mb DDRI hv 45.23 Nvidia driver but not satisfied with frame rate..All Sliders are kept at medium level except the wheather. What do you advise for this beta driver ??OrIs it better to wait until Official Nvidia release ??Thanks fyr kind helpHasan Alpay

Well, the Major difference for me is being able to use x2 and x2q settings.Other than that there is no real difference to the 45.33 I was using. The 52.13 seem just a bit less stable (i.e FR fluctuations) and I notice a momentary transition to desktop and back whenever I access the menu or "end flight".visual quality and frame rates are very similar to what I had with the 45.33. BTW, my card is Ti4200 x8AGP 128MB./Mike

I downloaded and installed the 52.13 drivers. My system is outlined below. First, I got an error message that the "uninstaller" files were corrupted. Bad download? The drivers seemed to behave as others have excitedly written. My core temperature did not rise above 60, and I never got the warning message referred to on guru3d.com.However, several times, but not all the time, I got totally black screens when switching views in FS2004. Reversing the process always brought back the previous view.A couple of times when going to the nVidia screen to check things out, I got an irreversible black screen when I went to the "advanced" settings. The only way I could find a way out was to manually stop my computer (holding in the start button for 5-10 seconds). Ctrl-alt-delete did not work. The system started again all right. These drivers seem to have lots of potential on my system and seem to cure some of the AA problems, etc., but I have gone back to the flicker-free 45.33 driver for the meantime.

Yes, one of the things I immediately noticed is that the AA is better and perhaps in the final version it will be even more improved.I didn't notice the black screens but I didn't have the 52.13's installed for very long and went back to 45.23. Maybe these will be fixed also.My GPU (5900) fan didn't stop as some people have reported that there's has.I didn't notice any particular rise in temp either, but the ambient temp is getting pretty cool here now.In the Nvidia screen it said my AGP setting was 1X although in Rivatuner it had 4X reported and FS certainly didn't act like it was running under a 1X setting. When I changed it to 4X in the Nvidia panel the PC rebooted when I hit OK. After the reboot it was still reported at 1X. I tried this twice and it did the same thing both times.
