October 8, 200322 yr GentlemenAny advice on installing Thomas' FS2K Kai Tak in FS2K2 (not 2K4)? Or should I just bung it in as instructed for 2K?Thanks!Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
October 8, 200322 yr Fits just fine in FS2002 (and FS2004 I'm told, although I haven't installed it there myself yet). Just remember the flatten and exclude lines. There's other stuff listed to enhance Hong Kong in FS2002 at www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.html I recommend Eddie Chen's autogen, Ray Taburet's mesh, Ian Thatcher's landclass and - from my FS2000 page at www.swiremariners.com/flysma.html - extra options of both static and dynamic aircraft (the latter, although dated, are very cool, as they land, takeoff and taxi in and out of gates using R13. No-one has achieved that with AFCAD).With all that lot, you'd think you lived there. But fly Cathay. Other people miss the runway, LOL ...Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
October 8, 200322 yr Gavin my friend,Go ahead and try it and then report what performance you get. This was was scenery that simply brought my own PC to a complete halt no matter what I tried. But you may have a faster computer.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg Michael J.

October 19, 200322 yr Author Works pretty well. A bit 'chuggy' when you get near, but after that quite smooth for final approach. A tricky landing though :-) lots of fun, thanks Thomas!! Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
