October 11, 200322 yr Firstly, many thanks to R. Young for once again taking FS to another level. The C172 now feel just like the ones I was lucky enought to fly out of Key West and Teterboro. Can't wait to take the FS9 SF260 out for a spin. One problem: when you look all the way back in the VC, you get tearing such that you can see the outside world through the interior. I do not get this problem inthe VC with any of the other 172's. Anybody know of a quick fix (I tried substituting other textures, but did not help). Many Thanks
October 11, 200322 yr HI,There's no "tearing", it's just that we slightly raised the default view and this reveals a gap at the rear of the aircraft which is also present in the default Cessna, but you can't normally see it with the default view because it is set lower (and too low for our liking). If you open up our aircraft cfg and look for the VIEWS section you'll see the default view values there but commented out. If you want the default view then delete our ones and re-instate the default ones.I personally fly all the default aircraft with the VC view set much further back, and up, to get a clear view outwards. I find all the default views of every FS aircraft far too close to the panel and too low, as though you were a child sitting below the line of the panel edge.I really hope MS will one day sort out the VC views.Regards,Rob Young - RealAir Simulations Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
October 11, 200322 yr RobCould you post your VC settings as I'd be interested to see them.ThanksDavid
October 11, 200322 yr Rob,Many thanks for all your hard work on sorting out the FS9 FD for this Cessna and I look forward to the SF-260 FS9 update.Although I normally fly the heavy iron it is nice every now and again to get back into the GAs, especially when they fly as well as the RealAir models.
October 12, 200322 yr You just made my day Rob. Have been waiting for this one since I fly nothing but the Cessna 172.Many THANKS for the enjoyable hours you have provided me in the past. Now looking forward to the future.Robert J
