460 x2 or 1 480

Guys,I was wondering what is best for FSX? Two 460 cards in SLI mode....Or just go with one 480 Nividia Card ?Thanks,John

I'd get the single 480 if FSX is the only concern. FSX doesn't see all that much benefit from SLI because of its well known CPU-limited engine.

Thank you Ryan....Good to see you here !

I use 2 x 460s SLI linked so that I can run 3 screens in wideview. I get a better resolution than with TH2Go, which I had used for a year or so. Also no blank strips at either side of the left and right screens when using the bezel adjustment. Multi-screening would be the only reason to go this route.Frank

so it the 460's still quick enough for FSX? People with them like them?? My rig has a May 2008 build date on it, with a GeForce 9800GTX in it...I'm happy, but, I know with something newer in the GPU I will be happier. :) So, 460's look good in FSX?

John,A 460 is a good upgrade from that 9800 and the perfect fit for your system, most notable will be when you turn filtering on along with some shader options like the water etc.

oh and don't forget there are two models... you want the 1 gig one.
