Help! POSKY A330 panel + me = $%#@!!!????

Featured Replies

I installed the base POSKY A330 and the visual model looks great. The VC also looks great. But the 2-D panel has Eric's gauges scattered on a black screen.I've got FSSound.dll installed in MODULES. I do NOT have any FSUIPC installed in FS2004 at this time. When I clcik to open FS9 now, it says, ERROR FS9 - FS has detected potentially incompatible file: FSSound.dll; do you want to load this software (YES or NO)?If I click YES, it takes me to the CREATE A FLIGHT screen and when I click on the A330, voila! it loads--but the 2-D screen is black and full of scattered gauges as noted above. If I then hit 'S', it brings up the full and great VC with what appear to be most if not all gauges loaded normally. Then I exit FS9 and try again. But this time, when it asks about loading FSSound.dll, I hit NO. Then it says: ERROR FS9 - FS was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using FS but the a/c or software will be disabled. File: gaugesA330.gau.What is going on here? What am I missing or doing wrong?Appreciate any advice, thanks!JS

Gary:Yeah, I did. Also, I changed the name in the panel cfg file (Window00)from MAIN to FRONT. All now loads normally on FS9 now with no error messages, but the 2-D cockpit remains with a black background and scattered gauges.I have the original A320 Marciano panel version 2.2. I tried to modify it for FS2004 but it doesn't work right. Might this be affecting things in some way? I don't know what else to do at this stage. Thanks for the forum tip.....Thanks.JS

Basically you want to use Eric's bmp files and Opensky's panel.cfg file in the panel folder. Then under (window 00) section, change the file=main.bmp line to file=front.bmp. BTW, to see the pedistal with all the radio's, EFIS and GPS, you have to click on area on the main panel just above where the pilots knees would be. I kept trying to get the pedistal to show up by moving my hatswitch down, which was driving me nuts. Guess I should have RTFM first, LoL... It's in Eric's panel docs.Hope this helps...AL

BTW Gary,I think I found another file.bmp problem similar to (window00) section issue. The background is missing for the pedestal. Under the (Fixed Window58) section, I changed file=down2_right.bmp to file=pedestal.bmp. The problem was that there isn't a bmp called down2_right.bmp from Eric's files.AL

I have the same problem, becuase I don't have any bitmaps in my panel folder - where can I download them?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/36121.jpgAthlon 3000512Mb PC3200 DDR RAM (400MHz)256MB nVIDIA GeForce FX 5600seFS9, running fine :-)

Hey Al:You are "De Man" ! I wasn't sure about the pedestal change and didn't know if I had the guts to rename that window 58 but I just did I now I gots me the right colored Airbus- blue pedestal, jeez, it looks so good !I love these forums and the experts who go with them. Thanks also to POSKY for their great a/c and guidance!JS
