November 5, 201015 yr OK, I have been messing with FSX since it came out...I have designed some scenery...Now, after a clean re-install of FSX, I have reloaded everything and nothing is showing up! Here is what I have done...The sceneries I have created are in the "Addon Scenery/Scenery" folder...All of the textures are in the "Addon Scenery/Texture" folder...Now; Where do I put the object libraries and such that are needed in the scenery? I will appreciate any responses, especially if they arrive before I hurt myself...Thanks a lot...Steve Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
November 5, 201015 yr Hello:All BGLs containing scenery library objects "to be placed" go in a \Scenery sub-folder paired with a \Texture folder under a "top" folder (ex: named for that object library). All BGLs for placement of the above scenery library objects go in a \Scenery sub-folder paired with a \Texture folder under a "top" folder (ex: named for your project). It is usually best to use a "top folder" named for your project inside the Addon Scenery folder... rather than dropping everything as loose files into \Addon Scenery\Scenery and \Addon Scenery\Texture; soon the mass confusion leads to disparaging changes in mood. :( Exclude BGLs may need to be put in another \Scenery sub-folder under a "top" folder above that project in the FS Scenery Library user interface 'stack of layers' unless those *.BGLs are named in a specific way B) Then, of course, in the FS Scenery Library user interface, one must "Add Area" and browse to each top folder to set the sub-folder chains described above into an "Active" status, so FS can load them at run-time when flying in the area covered by those BGLs (which call "placed" objects from the pertinent scenery object libraries). BTW: Didn't you realize by now that trying to comprehend FS SDK's and making scenery... already IS "hurting" one's self ? :( Take Care (really) ! :( GaryGB
