I am interested in learning really simple 2024 scenery design for many of the small airports in my state (Kansas, USA). Not wanting to design large international airports, etc. Just want to place maybe a simple hangar, maybe some lumber piles, windsock, runway markers and so on. I have looked all over for a basic tutorial that would teach me this but haven’t found anything like what I need. Any advice would be most welcome! Thanks a lot!

Question for P3D Ver 5.4....Please suggest a good trainer aircraft, prefer; Tricycle gear, easy to use autopilot, good visibility, not a speed demon, free or payware doesn't matter. My grandson is interested in getting into flight simulation and I don't want him (or me!) to be overwhelmed! Thanks a lot!

How do I program more than one throttle function on a slider? My joystick has only one slider for throttle and P3d doesn't seem to let me program two engines on one slider! I'm probably missing something simple, but I can't seem to be able to figure it out! Thanks a lot!

Since re-installing Ver 5.4, my Slew function has gone crazy! When I activate Slew, the simulator goes into Warp mode and flies across the scenery at a very rapid rate. I cannot slow it down. Can someone instruct me in how to get it slowed down to a usable speed? Thanks a lot!

Can anyone recommend some good panel backgrounds for the program? I cannot find anything except plain colors and would like to have some real-looking templates for a background...Thanks! Steve KGCK

I have been updating some P3d airports using Airport Design Editor (ADE)...I am running into the problem of having some bushes, trees, etc., showing up sticking through the new ramp areas...I am familiar with the Exclude Area function within ADE, but this does not seem to work for the thres, bushes etc...Can anyone advise me how to get rid of these bushes? I have been trying to download the free P3D ORBX demo of the Olympic Peninsula as offered on their site (AUS Server), but have been unable to do so...The download begins to run, interrupts, then the download time increases and eventually stops, apparently complete...But, the .exe file will not run and all sorts of error messages pop up indicating that the file is corrupt...Can anyone advise? Hi: I am looking for a high quality Android App that will connect to FS2004 that will allow me to have such functions as moving map, perhaps place instruments on the screen of the Android tablet and so on...I have seen several apps, but they seem to be more of a gimmick...Is there a truly good Android app for FS2004? Hi: I have been a long time FSX/FS2004 flyer, but decided to give X-Plane a try, since Microsoft has ditched their FS development...I love the X-Plane interface, the scenery, the constant development, etc...However; At the risk of being flamed and told to "search the forum" (which I have done for hours), I want to put a final and deciding question to the community. I have learned many things about FSX and FS2004; one of these things being that, through editing of certain files, any aircraft behavior can be changed...So, I have been wondering...Surely, someone has come up with a way to edit some obscure aircraft file that will remove the horrible "left turn" problem from many of the aircraft...Yes, I have tried trim, wind, fuel re-distribution and all of the other "fixes" I have come across, but I still end up turning left...I have flown with several general aviation pilots and, while there is certainly some torque involved, not one of them has had to wrestle the pedals to keep the aircraft on the runway...I have been flight-simming since the stick figure days and have never seen a problem that couldn't be solved with some simple configuration adjustments...I am really hoping that someone here will share their editing expertise with me before I turn my X-Plane DVDs into drink coasters and go back to FS2004...Thanks for listening to my rant and I hope to hear from someone... Would the program benefit from running in it's own partition? Thanks for the reply... I'm running at 650KB/S...Slight difference! Will that be easy to do in the installer?

Hi: I am, as I type this, downloading P3D (Academic)...(Only 3 more hours to go!) Was just wondering if anyone has any basic advice for the first install of the program...Any wise hints would be appreciated...I guess the new 2.3 version needs no tweaks, but anything else of use to me would be helpful! Hi: I remember back in the old days, there were several programs out there that would stop all running programs/processes when you loaded FS2004...Does anyone know of these programs and if they will still work with Win 8.1? Thanks for the advice... Steve
