November 7, 201015 yr Commercial Member Gents-On very rare occasions, it is necessary for the moderators of this forum to take action against individual users/accounts in order to protect the integrity and functionality of this forum venue. We generally do this only in the most extreme cases, and only after a careful review of the account history, the user, and their larger behavior in the forum.Last night I took the **very** unusual step of openly clubbing a user in this forum because he was a known advocate for the theft of PMDG products. This individual had been previously banned under multiple new accounts and various user names, so when he re-appeared in a new thread, I eliminated his posts and cited pending action to protect PMDG from piracy as the reason for removing his posts.Well....What are the chances that a new forum user would sign up from the same general geographic region, with the same name as someone we'd previously banned?Today I have exchanged a few email with Bryan Ramsey- and offered to him my apology for incorrectly identifying him as someone who was unwelcome here, and also for identifying him publicly as someone who advocates the theft of PMDG's products. The Bryan Ramsey using the account "R0t0rh34d" is indeed a different fellow entirely- and was mishandled by me as the result of a very unlikely coincidence.Bryan, thank you for having a sense of humor about this while we resolved the error. November 7, 201015 yr Robert,Thanks for clearing that up, I appreciate the effort on your part to clarify. Water under the bridge and lets not waste any more valuable time on this. Thanks again.Bryan ____________________________________________________________________________ Bryan Ramsey
November 7, 201015 yr At least Bryan is a good sport about it. Hopefully we do not have to go through this same thing on our own forums. Like you say with piracy and such though it is bound to happen. Welcome to the forums Bryan, and hope the rest of your stay is a pleasant one! :( Steve Jordan Aviation Structural Mechanic SH-60B/HH-60H/MH-60R/MH-60S USN FSX Hours: 3000 and counting
