Anyone know if fsx has A1 traffic for KAID and KBWI, the only traffic I can find is what I generated myself, I have the slider all the way to the Right. these are two major ap. one would think MS. would have had something flying in and out. Thanks.

I suspect you mean KIAD vs KAID. Microsoft did generate flight plans, etc., for these airports and they should work with the trafficAircraft.bgl properly installed in the Scenery/World/Scenery folder. If you generated additional traffic, you need to properly add it to the addon scenery folder with a name like KIAD, then a scenery subfolder. In the scenery subfolder you would place your self-generated .bgl. You then need to add it to your Scenery Library. If you did things properly, you'll see flights coming and going. Dropping the .bgl you made in the Scenery/World/Scenery folder will not work.Best regards,Jim

This I do not understand. I "dropped" all my AI traffic files in this folder, and they work fine. I trust the OP's traffic files were compiled for FSX since FS9 traffic files will kill FSX traffic.

I do not understand that statement either - Traffic files will work properly if the are installed in any "active" scenery subfolder. I, and many others, do it all the time.As previously stated, FSX can use FS2004 format Traffic file or FSX format Traffic file BUT not at the same time. If FSX finds even one FS2004 format Traffic file, it will block the display of all FSX format aircraft Traffic files.Any FS2004 format Traffic files (such as WOAI) need to be converted to FSX format. Many of us use the conversion utility - found on the file menu - in Don Grovestine's excellent AI Flight Planner utility. You can get the latest version here: http://members.shaw.ca/aifp/Hope that helps.

Now I am confused, with the exception of KIAD, I think what I said ( or what I meant to say) was, any traffic I generated myself, showes up .I see MS. traffic at other Airports but not at KIAD or KBWI. thanks.

I guess I stand corrected since two of you disagree with my statement. I just remember reading here and on several other forums that it will not work and you have to add it to the addon scenery folder. Plus, I download a lot of addon airports with traffic compiled for the airport from the AVSIM library and the readme states to make a folder in the addon scenery, throw the files into the scenery folder and then add it to your scenery library. I am also confused as I have MyTraffic and the traffic for this is thrown into the MyTraffic/Scenery folder which is added to the scenery library in order for it to work. In other words, you just can't throw a traffic.bgl into any folder and expect it to work. Thanks for correcting me on this matter. I probably got confused because the person having issues was simply throwing the compiled bgl into a folder like KSTL and not a KSTL/Scenery folder. Best regards,Jim

I am using WOAI, set my airline traffic at only 20%, and I see default Orbit and World Travel flights parked at both of these airports. Therefore, you have a problem. Microsoft included plenty of traffic at these locations as would be expected.

Thanx Art_p for your reply, that is what I was looking for. For whatever reason the game did not install all of the A1 traffic on my computer. I DL. the files from Reggie Fields, now i have traffic at these airports. thanx.
