I was curious - I am aware of how to set up multiple monitors, etc but I was wondering if there is a way to use two computers connected via a lan and have FS running on one and FSNAV, etc on another?Thanx,Vic

It's free and it's pretty sweet...Give it a try :)www.realvnc.comRan a 4 PC setup for a little while with it. Pretty easy to setup.Bobby

If you want to run a stand-alone program then you'll need a registered copy of FSWide. If you want to run another copy of MSFS that will run in sync with the main machine for additional views, ect, then you'll want WideView although I don't think there's a version of WideView out for MSFS9 yet.TonyDigital-Flight

Because FSnav is a FS module Vic the only way I can see of running FSNav on a second PC is using WideView as Tony posted.Last time I looked it did appear as if WideView only goes as far as FS2k2 although I hope the number of people using it for home cockpits can confirm or deny this. What version of FS does Cpt Tarmak use Vic, IIRC he uses WideView for his almost real setup?Rgds

I don't think there is a way to run FSNav on another PC as it is a "module" that runs inside of FS. However, if you are running programs like FSMeteo, Squawkbox, Activesky (essentially any program that is an EXE, NOT dll)you will need to purchase WideFS and set up your network accordingly.Fraser

VNC won't do it (I think).VNC allows you to see another PC and interact with it but to see FSNav it would mean that the 'original' PC would have to be showing FSNav also.I assume Vic is trying to use one PC for cockpit view and the other for FSNav.There was a similar question elsewhere recently and the solution there was to use Nav by Ted Wright but the person offering that solution was not sure if Nav would work with FS9.There is/was a payware moving map display which can be used via a serial link using Pete Dowson's GSPout utility.

Thanx all - you've given me something to think about. I agree about WideView and FSNAV - I'd have to have a second copy of FS9 running.Vulcan - don't now for sure about Tarmack but last time I checked ot was fs2002.Vic
