Remove arrows from icons...

Featured Replies

Hi,I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my computer and I'm on the process of reinstalling all my software. While trying to find a way to remove the small arrows from the shortcuts icons, I found a site that offered a quick way of doing so by the means of a small registry file merge.I ran the registry merge file but didn't work the way I expected (I think this file was meant for Vista and not Windows 7) and ran the included "restorearrow.reg" file and got the small arrows back.Unfortunately this created another problem. When I delete a file from a folder, that file still shows in that folder. I have to close and reopen the folder again to make it dissapear. The same happens when I extract a .rar or .zip file. The extracted contents only show when I close and reopen the folder. :( I'm very new to Windows 7 and I'm still trying to learn all I can so... Can someone please help me sort this "problem"?Thank you in advance.

Post your problem over at www.sevenforums.comThis forum is Win7 specific and the people over there are very helpful for the most part. I have got a couple of questions answered and problems solved.I would post your problem in the "General Discussion" forum.

Thank you for your help and suggestion.I was able to solve my problem by reseting Windows's 7 folder settings.Next time I have a Windows 7 related problem and I hope I don't have many, I'll ask there.Thank you again.
