Does the MD-11 show KCAS on the speed tape, or KIAS (or something different)? Since the values for these units at a given airspeed seem to be pretty close to each other, is it important to distinguish between them?

I have assumed that any panel with EFIS display will show KIAS=KCAS since the air data computer is providing the speed value. Interesting question. Have you checked the systems manual?

So far, I found no information in the manuals. I assume it's KCAS because of the correction of the static ports' positions...
