This is just a question about which multi/dual core processors are fsx supported, and which do the best job at handling the high demands the sim places on the CPU? Also is there much of a difference between 2.8 and 3.2 gig processors?

I would say Intel I7 quads right now (i still have an old Q6600 quad). Intel for the reason that the enthusiast can heavily overclock them, 4ghz and more sometimes. Eg. get some cheap I7 920/930 and try to get them up to 4.2ghz :)Also..even if the CPU plays a big part in FSX (way more than the power of the graphics card)...it's also a matter of the total performance of the system, eg. CPU --> Memory, Memory Bus Speed..HD (SSD) speed etc..etc.. everything should nicely fit together. Simply putting a faster CPU in an older system wont do a lot really if the rest is not up to par.

Oh, I am planning on building the PC from scratch, and was just looking for some advice on where to go to.
