November 26, 201015 yr My apologies if I have overlooked this information.I am trying to locate the "recall switch" mentioned in the AOM during the Before Takeoff procedures (pp. 5-8 and 5-17), Landing procedures (5-18), and One Engine Inopperative Landing procedures (6-15). I am instructed to check and clear this switch, but cannot locate it in the 700 in order to do so.Thank you for your assistance.
November 26, 201015 yr Isn't it the warning panel next to the master caution and fire warning lights? Sam Crawford "Don't judge the intelligence of an individual by the number of posts that they have made. Wait until they say something stupid first." CTC Cadet - www.ctcwings.co.uk
November 26, 201015 yr Sam: Thank you for taking time to respond. All I see between the Fire Waring/Master Cution lights/buttons and the EFIS are three sections of warning lights. I do not see a "switch" in that area. Thank you again for replying.
November 26, 201015 yr Sam, I think I understand what you were telling me; my apologies for not understanding at first. The "recall switch" is not a physical switch, but refers to the three section of lights between the Master Caution and the EFIS. I found the following via a Google search:"2. Use the RECALL feature to detect any errors that might be present in a system by clicking on the small panel next to the fire warning. The system names should illuminate and extinguish automatically. If any system remain illuminated, check its configuration for faults."Thank you for directing me to the right area of the flight deck!
November 26, 201015 yr No problem Brian, and I think you will find that you can actually depress that warning panel and that is how you can check that the lights work, and also it acts as a recall function. November 26, 201015 yr I found that pressing (clicking) the orange caution light extinguished it. Pressing the panel area of the individual lights merely flashed them for testing and did not reset the caution light. Of course I cleared the error first but I could still mute the light with the error, at least the power error, still in place. Thanks for pointing that out Ron, its been a while since I was playing with a 737 :( Sam Crawford "Don't judge the intelligence of an individual by the number of posts that they have made. November 27, 201015 yr Pressing of the Master Caution or Fire Warning cancels the alert. The annunciator is also the recall switch. Typically, the pilots would notice the alert, then Pilot Flying would command the other pilot to identify the condition and then cancel the alert. Matt Cee
