November 26, 201015 yr My initial thoughts are that you're not running the install program as an administrator, or you disk is damaged and the data can not be read from it.Possible solutions are to obviously try running as admin, and give your cd a good clean looking for any significant scratches.Hope you can sort it! November 26, 201015 yr Moderator First suggestion - turn off UAC - do NOT install FSX in the default (C:\ProgramFiles(x86)) folder - it can cause problems. Depending on your HD setup, create a folder called FSX and install there.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
November 27, 201015 yr That's a great cpu/gpu combo, and to get the highest benefit, Michael - get a dedicated drive - doesn't have to be big or expensive - and put the sim on that. Keep the OS drive for OS stuff. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
